Elyse Saugstad

Growing up in the Chugach Mountains of Alaska, Elyse fell in love with big mountains and skiing fast at a young age through her passion for ski racing. Fast forward to a lengthy career as a professional skier, Elyse has won many accolades and awards along the way through competition and film segments such as Freeride World Tour Champion, several 'Best Female Ski' segments at the Powder Video Awards and IF3, and Freeskier’s 'Female Skier of the Year'. Elyse also co-founded and instructs SAFE AS, an introductory level avalanche and snow safety course that has been in operation for over a twelve years. Most recently Elyse became a mother to a little boy, and with this development she stepped into a new role of co-producing and starring in an entertaining ski movie that intertwines parenthood along with being a professional skier, Here, Hold My Kid. The movie was well received and won several awards including IF3’s “People’s Choice.” Elyse has been a part of the Blizzard Tecnica team for a decade.
